Stencil Glue

Dala Stencil Glue is an acid free, pressure sensitive adhesive.  It is ideal for anchoring stencils and/or fabric while painting.  Stencil Glue is suitable for use on plastic, metal or wood, but not suitable for paper stencils.

Apply Dala Stencil Glue directly from the applicator bottle onto the back of the stencil or wooden fabric painting board and allow to dry thoroughly before use, it goes on milky and dries clear.  Once dried you can remove and reposition objects on the host without having to reapply the stencil glue.

For stencilling, position the stencil and apply gentle pressure to fix in position.  Complete the stencil decoration and carefully remove stencil before the paint dries.  This process can be repeated until the decoration is completed.

It is used together with the Dala Glass Glaze products to create removable window decals.

Useful information when working with Stencil Glue

Stencil glue is water soluable and can therefore be diluted with water.  Once the glue has dried it is completely insoluble and can not be removed from its host.

If the glue becomes dirty it will loose its adhesion and will have to be reapplied.

Ensure the surface has no flaking paint, the glue will remove the paint.

You can apply the glue with a paint brush or sponge brush or roller but wash these tools immediately in water before the product is dry.

  

 

Powder Glue

Dala Powder Glue is an excellent glue to use for any paper craft projects.  Mix the glue in two easy steps - just add water and shake.  This budget saving glue is non-toxic and gives you the freedom of determining the strength, thickness and amount of glue for your specific craft requirement.   It is a very economical binder for paper mache, is ideal for manufacturing handmade paper and it makes an excellent wallpaper glue.  To make a finger paint add a few drops of colorant while mixing the glue.

Making Paper Mache

Powder glue can be used for paper mache projects.  Make a concentrated powder glue solution.  Add shredded paper to the solution kneading thoroughly adding small amounts of water to help wet the paper.  Remember that the more water you add the weaker the paper mache will become.  The glue is used to bind the paper, the finer the paper is shredded the less glue you will need.  You can also make up a weak glue paper solution complete your task and varnish with a full strength glue solution.

 

Craft Glue

Dala Craft Glue is suitable for most hard and soft woods, processed board, cardboard, paper, stone, leather, felt, cloth, cork etc it is acid free so it won't affect paper products.  This glue is ideal for school projects, and all your art and craft endeavours.  Ensure that the surface is clean and free from dust and grease.  Apply the craft glue to one or both surfaces, clamp together for a minimum of one hour.  Allow at least two hours drying time before handling.  Craft Glue is non toxic, non flamable, and therefore is safe for children.  Sold in a 30ml Liner Bottle.

 

Fabric Glue

Dala Fabric Glue is a non-toxic, waterproof adhesive and ideal for fabric to fabric adhesion.  This product can also be used as a general purpose adhesive when highly waterproof adhesion is required.  Sold in a 30ml Liner Bottle.
